Vier Intiem

How will you spend your New Year's Eve? Dancing of course! It's been three years now since we came up with the idea of organizing a New Year's Eve Ball for all people who like to dance folk. After two successfull editions we decided to go for a third edition of "Vier Intiem". The ball is an intimite setting with four fantastic, intimite folk bands.

The Playlist:

Doors open: 7PM

Dr. Eugène 8PM - 9:30PM

The 4 musicians of the band Dr.Eugène are a real fest for the ears. Their self-written tunes and lyrics take you to a new sound sensation full of surprises and playful experimentation. Or like one of their spectators stated "Music between complexity and subtlety".

Nyckelharpa, viola d'amore, accordion, guitar, contrabass and vocals get mixed into acoustic music you can listen and dance to.

Featuring: Eugène Gys (accordion), Eugène Jochems (guitar, vocals), Eugène Vanmeerbeek (nyckelharpa, viola d'amore), Eugène De Bliek (contrabass)

Duo Absynthe 9:40PM - 23:10PM

The soft and dreamy mazurkas, mixed with sarcastic schottisches and insane bourrées of Duo Absynthe take you to a world filled with entangling en captivating dance steps. Last year we had Aurélien as our gast with Jeff Caresse. This year his accordion sounds are accompanied by guitar.

Featuring: Aurélien Claranbaux (diatonische accordion) and Sylvain Letourneau (guitar)

Tom Theuns & Aurélie Dorzée 23:20PM - 00:50AM

Two strings wizards, or a violin and a guitar from the folk, jazz and classical scene. We know Tom Theuns from Ambrozijn and Aurélie Dorzée plays the violin in Tio Trad for several years now. These days they sail ship with their theater boat "Aurélia Féria" on European streams. But for "Vier Intiem" they come to Winksele as a duo. Fiery folk of unknown beauty. Not easy to categorize but easy to enjoy.

Featuring: Tom Theuns (guitar, vocals) & Aurélie Dorzée (violin, alt violin, vocals)

Peut-être Jeanne 01:00AM - 02:30AM

After Zlabya next year we take another trip to Northern France. But who is Jeanne? Jeanne is a duo of diatonic accordions with sometimes a gentle clarinet, played by Oliver and Raphaël.

Featuring: Olivier Catteau (diatonic accordion) and Raphaël Decoster (diatonic accordion)

02:30AM -... JAM
